CPR'S DISABILITY BENEFITS UNIT

SOCIAL SECURITY AND SSI DISABILITY APPEALS

Individual Representation to Clients in Western Massachusetts

The Center's Disability Benefits Unit, in its Northampton, Massachusetts office, represents mentally and physically disabled clients who have applied for, and been denied, Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

SSDI: CPR attorneys represent clients in Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, and Berkshire Counties who wish to appeal a denial of SSDI benefits. Inasmuch as the Center does not have any outside funding to support its SSDI representation, SSDI cases are taken on a contingency fee basis. No fee is due unless a case is successfully resolved. The fee is set by Social Secuirty rules.

SSI: CPR attorneys represent clients in SSI appeals in Hampshire and Franklin Counties. There is no fee for SSI appeals.

Callers contacting the Center regarding Social Security matters will undergo a brief intake screening conducted by a paralegal and then will be referred to an attorney.

For information contact the Center for Public Representation at 413-587-6265 or send us an e-mail at info@cpr-ma.org.
