The Center for Public Representation offers a variety of litigation and consulting services;

Effective Expert Evidence

The Center has launched an innovative new initiative, Effective Expert Evidence, which is designed to assist Protection and Advocacy, legal services and other public interest lawyers.

Litigation and Systemic Advocacy Project

The Center has initiated a Litigation and Systemic Advocacy Project to provide co-counseling, assistance, and support to Protection and Advocacy (P&A) agencies across the country. Staff are particularly interested in juvenile and criminal justice disability matters, emergency department interactions with persons with mental illness, home based services for children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances, institutional conditions and restraint and seclusion reform.

Training Seminars

CPR staff are available to design and present training seminars and programs on a variety of disability related subjects. A sample of an outline of a training on ethnic psychopharmacology can be viewed by following the link directly above.

Woman sues hospital for strip-search -- complaint
8/4/2006 
The Center for Public Representation, the Bazelon Center and Campbell, Campbell & Edward have sued Beth-Isreal Hospital on behalf of a woman who was strip searched when she appeared at the hospital ER for treatment of a migraine. The plaintiff had been a patient in the mental health unit in the past.
